    Favourite War film

Everyone has their favourites and its always subjective, but whats your favourite war film? Can be any war etc.

Mine was and still is "Full Metal Jacket" however seems Empire's readers disagree and listed it nearly 400 places below "The Thin Red Line" in 500 Greatest Movies ever. Considering I've never seen Thin Red Line, I ought to try it out, however now looking for a list of films to watch.

My current list of War Films include:

    Full Metal Jacket
    Saving Private Ryan
    Flags of Our Father
    Letters from Iwo Jima
    Where Eagles Dare
    Dirty dozen
    Heartbreak Ridge
    Platoon
    Windtalkers
    Apocalypse Now
    Deer Hunter
    Inglorious Basterds
    Gallipoli

I think I'm a bit light so recommendations please

And forgot the other ones I have:

Hurt Locker (also planning to see Zero Dark Thirty)
    Green zone
    U-571
    Dambusters
    Memphis belle
    Battle of Britain

Monkey, those are all Sci Fi..... not what I would call War Films
