    Shaving

I'm lucky enough not to need to shave regularly and when I do its always been a ball ache.

Well not now, wifey bought me for christmas a proper badger hair shaving brush and Mitchells Sheep Fat shaving soap.

Now I wish I had to shave more often, the whole ritual is a delight, I'm getting far better shaves then I was before - which is a double edged sword cos it means I have to shave less.

How have I got to 48 years old without finding out about this.

Anyone else had a similar 'revelation'.

I got bored of wet shaving (but when I did, I used a KoS Azor and shaving oil) and gave an electric shaver a go.

Quite impressed with the Phillips thing I bought, does a good job with not a lot of effort.

I use a straight razor (cut throat). Brush and shaving soap. Bit of an oil base. I find cold water works best for me

I have a friend who's now 26 and it takes him a week to sprout about 10 hairs on his face. Completely baffles me!

I hate wet shaving, suffer with sensitive skin - come up all rashy after a wet shave. Use the Braun series 3 electric. Well and truly does the trick.

I've actually been considering looking into other forms of hair removal, I find shaving to be a time consuming annoyance so if there was a pain free way I could stop the stubble for a longer period of time, it would suit me fine.

And stop the boss from moaning at me when I haven't shaved...

You could lazer hair removal on your face?

On topic i grow facial hair quickly and hate wet shaving, so i just use a body trimmer which is basically a mini set of hair clippers so i get .2mm of stubble everytime

    Gilette Proglide.
Fast and long lasting. No cuts. A bit expensive but good.

I use anything thats to hand when I bother. Usually involves something old and rusty thats been long forgotten in the shower. If it loos sharp I'll use it This week though I am on strict instruction to grow a beard. Me and my Ozzie mate are having a competition. Fcuk knows why though?

Used to be all anal about what razor etc BUT pinched one of the Mrs razors a long time ago and that was a revelation.

Far better shave using lady razors and no razor burn, combine that with shaving oil base and decent gel on top use plenty of water and it's all win in my book.

Multiple blades in a razor are a complete waste of money if you ask me as how many of you only swipe the razor once in every spot ? if you need to do a few passes then your wasting your money on multi blade razors.

Also for cuts i have the sulphur matches that instantly stop the bleed

i usually get one of my "brand new" razors out the packet... then proceed to remove skin from my face coz its not "brand new" at all! the Mrs has got hold of it, shaved her legs, arse, front bum, chin, dog and the carpet with it, then washed it and put it back in the packet!!! but now i'm getting on a bit, i've gone for a goate coz the tash bit tends to hide the extra long nose hair quite well!!!
