    ecu coolant temperature sensor query

Does anyone know if an ECU temperature sensor from an S14 will fit/work in an S13 with a ca18det? Looking at the pictures they look identical, both 2 pin same thread size. A new one from Nissan is £56 with a discount :-)

Pretty sure you can get them from a local factors cheaper than from Nissan.

Something interesting with this sensor : it has a (modifiable) table in the ECU to convert its signal into a usable value for the ECU; meaning you could use any temp sensor that fits provided you know where to modify that table. I have a nistune so it is quite easy, but i think this is something you could do with any hex editor (provided you have the addresses to be modified).

I heard about one in France that would bolt, but it has a 10°C value offset, so wont recommend using it.
