Sky +HD (Samsung) box deleting all of my planner

    Hi Guys

So just returned from a weekend away and decided to kick back and watch something we had recorded over the weekend!

Greeted by a list of failed recordings due to full disk space !!

Checking the rest of the planner then revealed recordings missing all over the shop and even disappearing before my eyes.

Went off to make a coffee only then to return for another look to find everything in my planner has now disappeared !!

This only 2 weeks after the new look sky software appeared on my sky box!

To say the Mrs is miffed is an understatement.

What are my options as i cant get the deleted content back ?

Say goodbye to your deleted programs. The Sky+HD box has to be the most unreliable electronic device I've ever owned. I fixed it by leaving Sky and getting a Samsung S7800 Freesat+HD box.

If you go on your planner you can now retrieve deleted program's, my Missus went mad when I deleted her soaps by mistake (so I could record UFC haha) and she found a deleted section

Scroll to the left when have the "All" button highlighted in the planner.

You can possibly undelete them by taking the hard disk out, popping it into a PC and running this: http://www.ph-mb.com/products/ExPVR/about

When I did it it listed a bunch of programs I knew I'd deleted.

Sorry for the hijack but does that mean I can copy stuff off my Sky+ box to my PC and watch it on there ?

If so how hard is it to remove the Sky+ hard drive ?

There is another one of these programs available but this one is free!

I looked at skycopyplus but it said it doesn't work with the Darwin planner.

ExPVR was free for me to copy things onto a new hard disk too.

There is a basic version of the first linked software that is free to dl, it does not come with bells and whistles but will get you out of trouble it would seem.

Will have to have a nose when i can be without the box for a short time

Anyone know what HD the sky boxes use as im tempted to stick a bigger one in there if im going inside....

The longer you wait, the less there will be to recover. It's possibly already too late.
