More than likely mate but I can always stick in a couple of boxes if it's completely obnoxious. I just want to hear it go first before I make up my mind.

    It's 2.5" Stainless.

Just read this through and the build is epic mate, really good work and a great touch with the s15 dash as a bit of bling. What are you going to do for clocks? are you going to go digidash?

I hope so daz The bugger still hasn't fired after last night
We have configuration settings for two models of aem ecu but not for the model I have.
Hopefully Stiv will have recieved an email back from aem with the relevant data and we can move forward next week

Cheers mate, glad you like it
I ordered my digital dash yesterday. This: http://www.acewell.co.uk/Acewell%20S...tion=full&id=8
Inexpensive and it'll do what I need it to do

    Cheers man
We gave it a wash and brought it to japfest at the weekend just to show it off.
It certainly recieved at lot lot of interest....especially when we fired it up lol

The next big task is mapping so I've been getting some wiring tidied up and the digi dash fitted in preparation.

After that it'll be shakedown time. Can't wait!!!!

Thanks fellas, I was such a relief to hear it run after all the work There's a short video of it's first time to move on our Facebook page too. It sounds nuts lol
    https://www.facebook.com/TeamKanjiuma

I took a photo of the digi dash fitted the other night, bad quality but you get the idea.

Tbh I was expecting it to be a bit bigger but it'll do the job. I want to make a new bracket for it to move it into the center of the area behind the steering wheel.

It's been a while but I'm back. The main reason for the delay was this:

Aem specify either a 30-1050 or 30-1900 ecu for the vq, however the one Stiv had was the 30-1600 so we fitted that.
As you know, the engine fired and everything was good, except the vvt wasn't operating.
The signal for bank 1 & 2 vvt solonides are out of injector 9 and 10 on the recommended ecus but we could only had 8 injector drivers. I connected to 7 & 8, hoping we could get it to work. Stiv tried everything he could think of to move the drivers across in the software but no luck

So the big delay was having to find (and afford!) another ecu. Enter, eventually, a 30/1050 ecu, wire a new ecu plug etc etc
Fire it up and all is good. Whooohoo!!

With it firing on all cylinders, so to speak, the next job was mapping. But first this

Not that it made much difference lol

    The mod doctor himself

    And the results

Next for the car is its shakedown. I'm booked in to a drift practice day next Sunday, 9th feb, to see what falls off before the season starts proper. Can't bloody wait!!

Any more pics of the exhaust where it comes down from the side of the heads? Clearances must be insane!!

    Is that Stiv's place?

It's Stiv's new unit yea. Room for 11 cars now instead of the 1/2 car he used to have room for lol
Yea there's quite a bit of room on passenger side of the engine. Why, what were you thinking??
