    Oh yes! Good effort

If it helps I know someone who strips minis do may be able to help with parts if needed. He normally does the older ones tbh but worth a shot none the less

Awesome Good choice there and no doubt when its done you'll be getting calls from people wanting to buy it and dealers wanting to use it as a showpiece. Especially if its up to your usual standard! And I am under no illusions that it won't be

    Awesome!

I have read both S13 & S14a threads and they really are amazing!

did you end up getting rid of the s13 and kept the s14a?

I'm having the bug to buy another mini and restore it... I'll buy one next year and strip it back again.

Will be watching this one though

Awesome, is it a SPI or MPI? I have a 1991 sportpack SPI that I've been working on for ages, I'll be watching this with great interest

Genuinely my most hated cars but going by your previous builds I can't wait to see how you get on with it.

    Thanks for the replies,

Chris, if I get stuck I’ll give you a shout
No I can’t really help myself and love em or hate em, my first car was a Mini as I couldn’t afford a MK1 Escort.
I can’t see the point in modding the engine for more HP. At the end of the day it’s a scrabble wagon and Mika will be insuring it. At 20 it’s not cheap. Did think of lowering it but it’s lower than the S13 – and that’s been lowered!
Still got both the S13 & S14, recently rebuilt the engine in the S13 and it’s just about run in
It’s an MPI Sportspack. Took me as while to fathom all this lot out as there are that many models
M.D I can understand why you hate them. I won’t be going far in it though, it’s more of a nippy fun thing. It’s deffo a British icon though

Stripped the interior tonight with Mika and tbh, it's in better condition than I thought

Check out the rust under the windscreen!!!

    Both rear arches are knacked

From what I have seen this one looks not too bad. After all, it's a Rover

    Looks like it needs -

    Front panel
    Both wings
Both A panels (that's the bit just behind the wing)
    Scuttle panel
    Door skins
    Inner and outer sills
    Both rear wheel arches
    Rear Valence
    Probably a new rear subby
I got the hose pipe out tonight and the sunroof rains in - so that has to go. New roof skin added to the list and that will be a new headlining as well

One of the lads on the old mini club had a carbon roof it was amazing.... lol

My old one was much worse than that but then again it was a B reg, not sure if the newer ones have the inner A panel? if it has, is that all ok?

Interior trim will be black and the wood finish inside will also go Replaced with CF / black Need to get it fully stripped and sort the shell out first though. I have bought this

Should make fitting new panels a bit easier. There are lot to fit though
