    V35

So did the importer pull a fast one and reg it as the UK spec GT-R turbo (R33/34)? Avoids all that nasty SVA stuff, you "acquire" a MAC code, just give it a MOT.
Or was it DVLA muppet looking for an easy life? "The only Skyline on the system is GT-R turbo (R33/34), close enough, we'll just process it as one of those."

Going on engine size there's possibly 60 of them SKYLINERs.

    Sound, Im in touch already.

The car IS a Skyline 350 if it came in from North america, I wonder whether Skyshack is right you know. My old Campervan is just down as "Mitsubishi" on the V5, it can happen .........

Well it's got a GT-R badge on the side, surely that means it's a GT-R

Seriously though, that happens over here all the time with imports. It's not on the system so rather than going through the hassle of adding it, they'll put it down as something "close enough"

    My 180SX's logbook said

    Make: Nissan
    Model: Black

Must have been one of those rare AMG versions

Weren't the American ones badged as "Infinity 350GT"? Possibly a Jap import?

My mates got a 'W' 2000 reg vectra 1.9 turbo diesel in silver and its log booked as a Opel Manta 1.8 gt Petrol in silver
And the seller is probably as clueless as this mustang GTR owner, its a rotary with pistons and a turbo with headers and it runs a 7 in the 1/4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlDLybhuOH0

RHD Skyline 350GT in Japan, but badged Infiniti G35 and LHD in the US.
