Bought a new car - been waiting some years to get my hands on one of these.

Ive been eyeing up these things for years and have finally bought one. 6 litre W12 Bentley Continental GT Speed.

The Speed part is important. Lower than the normal car with a stiffer suspension set up and power increased to 600bhp. Plus some visual changes, louder exhaust (W12, mmmmmmmmmmmm), different wheels etc. It also comes with Mulliner spec interior with quilted seats, logo stickted into seats, different headlining, different pedals, aluminium gear lever and three spoke steering wheel.

    0-60 in 4.3 seconds

    0-124 in 12.8 seconds

    200+mph

TV, sat nav, self closing doors, electric open/close boot, keyless entry and go, reversing camera, double glazing, bluetooth etc etc.

Tell you what, it goes like bananas. Its not fast for a big car, its just ballistic period. Its also very light on its feet, suprisingly nimble. And it sounds awesome when you fire it up

    That's gorgeous. Stunning interior.

These use essentially an Audi Quattro drivetrain system too, don't they?

This is twin turbo Its a VAG product so bits from this and bits from that although the car as a package feels bespoke. I hired a 2005 Aston Martin DB9 for Ann for a long weekend a while ago and Ive got to say the difference in build quality and interior design between the two is night and day. The Bentley also handles better (the DB9 understeered alarmingly) and is much faster.

The Aston did look the absolute nuts though.

Ive got a vid of us playing with a Ferrari on the way back from collecting the car. I think its a 458 but am not sure. It it was a 458 then theyre 570bhp. The Bentley held its own from 70 to 140+ which suprised me.

Ill get it off Facebook and stick it up here. The qualities not great but its all Ive got at the moment.

Yep, the early cars are now getting cheap. I avoided an early model though as the 2008 onwards had a number of revisions well worth having, not least being the introduction of the Speed version

    Stunning car! Want

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

    Nice!

Don't know why but they don't excite me, however, I still appreciate them for what they are
