    Couple of questions...

    Hi all,

thinking about getting an engine damper, found this

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-S13...7dc84ba&_uhb=1

has anyone got one of these, are they any good?? or would it be better to get better uprated engine mounts??

Secondly, does a 14 diff fit in a 13?? Is it easy in and out, or does it need modification. (probably been covered before, but as I was asking already)

    Thanks in advance

I wouldn't bother fitting either item to be honest.

Had one on my car years ago, took it off.

Don't make much of a difference, you would be better off spending your monies on uprated engine mounts

s14 diff will fit a s13 but you require front bolt mounting bushes which you can buy form apex or driftworks

engine damper is a shiny gadget that does not work. If your engine moves, your mounts are shagged, change them, problem solved, wether you get OEM or harder mounts does not matter (if i had to do it again, i would not fit harder mounts tbh). S14 diff is much longer than S13 diff if i remember correctly so i would not bother either.

You can fit the pumpkin from a S14 in a S13 case but it won't last long if you don't shim it correctly. It has to have correct preload or the bearings skid. If the bearing skid they overheat and wear out, then the bits that spall off go though the gears and wreck them too.

S14 auto and manual are different ratio IIRC. One is the same ratio as S13, the other longer. A search in Tech S13 should turn it up.

I seem to remember Skyshack posting up a big list of all the combos and their ratios...
