Bosch 044 fuel pump or walbro 255lph? Help?

Need a new fuel pump for my S14 was going to go Walbro but was recommended the Bosch 044! What are the pros and cons? And how easy are they to fit? Any help would be much appreciated!

The walbro should be just fine for most "staged" builds, and simple to fit too.

The 044 is an upgrade to the walbro for more serious power! (and not quite so simple to install.

The Aeromotive is a direct drop in and will support over 500hp, plus its a lot quieter than the Walbro.

Expensive by the looks of things, but I guess you really only buy a fuel pump once.

    What the man said!

Got one fitted in mine, and certainly massively quieter than a Walbro.

Gary @ APT, otherwise the likes of Summit racing in the States have them at a great price, and if you're in a hurry the shipping is actually very quick. I've often got stuff from the States quicker than some places within the UK.

No not really, TBH they're audible but not intolerable.

I got a horsham developments Walbro alternative, I very rarely hear it and my cars fully stripped out.

Hell I've still got most of the interior just sans rear seats as I've got the rear cage, and on the way to shows it really wasn't fun. Granted I have no stereo but still!

Seriously how quiet cars do you have if you can hear the fuel pump? Which pump suits you best depends really on the power you are after. Walbro is good for around 500hp, bosch 044 up to 600. Aeromotive is somewhere in between. If you want more power there is 400lph version of walbro available. Or a motorsport version of the 044...
