South Yorkshire meet - 7th October

I know you lot have been properly neglected recently (for a few years)

I have a suggestion for lunchtime on Sunday 7th October. We travel south a little and invade the East Midlands meet.

    1pm. The Hutt, Ravenshead. NG15 9HJ

    http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=the+...53.06,,0,12.11

I'll be up for it myself with one slight proviso. The Japanese Formula1 Grand Prix is at 8am, and not on the BBC, so I won't have seen it.
Anyone mentioning who won gets banished.

I think that's an attempt at asking for a lift.

    Two weeks today.
East Mids thread is up now.

It would be ace to meet some of the newer members. I don't know most of you.
And if some oldies decide to come along, that would be bareable too.

I'm up for this. I've had the 200 out two days in a row because it hasn't rained here

I still have the problem that I must watch the F1 before coming down on Sunday lunchtime. The aim is still to find someone to let me into their house with SkyTV on Sunday morning.

I've taken Friday off work to get laundry and other normal weekend stuff out of the way,

I'm ready as I can be for Sunday

What time are you setting off? I could follow you down - save some fuel in the slipstream. Ideally I'd get there early-ish as I need to head back about 2.30.

And (you may have guessed from the above) I'm too tight to pay for Sky

I'm still up for this. The wife keeps asking about a witham and blues meal as well.

The Witham and Blues idea is still good. I know Teggers had something in mind recently, but it was mid-week

It's about an hour down the road for us. Noon departure and meet on the way sounds good.

Bump for Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster bods. Looks like there'll be about seven of us so far, and it really is not far away.

Cheers Damo, but I got through the day unscathed (and massive congrats on the wife out on the town thing btw )

I nearly turned the radio on in the car SOOO many times going down to the meet and back.
Every sodding time I have to watch the race later, the radio news gets me.
They never say "In today's Forumla 1 race in Italy, ......." giving the required second to hit the off button noooooo. It's always FERNANDO ALONSO, won the so and so race in whatever country in the race earlier.

Yesterday I managed to get home about 8pm , and then comfortably sat down to watch the borefest without having heard the result

There was myself, Tokyo Rose and Kieran O'Quick from oop here (always a pleasure) and six or seven Midlandese

It was a decent meet until I opened my bonnet thinking it was quite clean under there, then realising it kind of isn't. How does that happen? It was cleaned properly only a year ago

    FOOD ASSESSMENT:
No photos this time. For about £6 my gammon and chips was totally edible and fine; other meals looked similar.................. but they actually cost nearer £9 each , so The Hutt gets a 4 out of 10 from me
