    Coolant leak please help :(

    Got a major leak comin from above my starter motor by the looks of it. Anyone know what this could be im just praying that its a hose

    Could be the turbo water lines running around the back of the head.

    I checked where my braided line meets there and there wasnt anythin but dies that come directly out the head? As that could be it :/

    it comes from a metal water pipe that runs under the plenum.

    could be between oil cooler - block, block - heater return, or pipe under the plenum - heater feed.

    Quite a few little hoses under there!

    Edit: there is no feed that comes from the head there only on the block.

    Wonderful thankyou very much i assume from that that i will have to take the plenum off to get to them though :/

    I had this from a coolant pipe under the plenum.If you take the starter motor out you can get to both pipes easily.

    ^^^ This and removing the plenum support brace may help, may aswell leave it off and save some weight!

    The rubber pipes under the plenum perished on my 180.....

    Found it :/ what a pain i ended up just removing the plenum. It was the oil cooler to block pipe :/ however i have got a new one . Is it worth doing the heater one whilst im there?

    to be fair mate you may aswell do all of them while you got plenum off!
    i got complete set of coolant hoses from ebay for £110 ish from china that and decent clamps would be the route i take, dont wanna put it back together n have to replace another in a couple weeks/months! I'll send you link if you want!

    Yea i think i will replace a few tbh i rung sfs and even though 280delivered for a full kit exc induction hose os good i can be layin out more money at the moment. I am using new hose and cutting to size

    You mean they had Samco written on them

    I'm not critising you for buying them or doubting that they are well made.
    In fact, fair play to them for making a full set of coolant hoses. The 'real' Samco only list the two main rad hoses for S13s, which is what made me think they can't be the real deal. And that all Samcos hoses are made in the UK
