Window screen fitter came and removed the screen to find the screen hadn't been fitted well and it has leaked on both sides at the top.
The underneath wasn't too bad apparently just a small amount of surface rust, needs a bit of a clean up and lick of paint on the a-pillars. Thankfully no more cutting out and welding
Window screen stripped out and ready for the new one
Had to clean up and repaint around the screen and a-pillars.
Window screen fitter came back to install the new screen, we found a couple of slight chips out of it, just above where the rubber fits around the screen, thankfully not visible and its all fitted lovely

The Plastidipping didn't quite go to plan.*The air gun and compressor we initially started to use had a problem and wasn't keeping full constant compression, therefore the Plastidip was spraying pretty much invisible.
I then went out and bought one of these Earlex 3900 Guns
We spent 2-3 days prepping the car and fixing a few dents here and there, which was very hard work ;(
This is the finished product
There are imperfections and reactions in the paint on the bonnet and in a few other places, the primer on the over fenders seems to have also reacted with the Plastidip so they need to come off and be done again.
It is quite a rough finish too not smooth like most paint.
We used 3no 5 litre tins of White Plastidip pre-thinned and a 2.5 litre tin of Glossifier.
I also put some White Pearl Metal Flake in the Glossifier but its very hard to try and get a picture of the Metal Flake, its quite subtle.
I got round to fixing my drivers window which was getting stuck and also fixed a headlight bulb that was out.
Bought an Apexi cone air filter and adaptor and also a 3" to 2" reducer
The difference it has made to the car is wonderful.
I now have a turbo fluttering noise on boost * It is running a lot smoother, the boost controller has stopped making ticking noises and my petrol seems to be lasting a bit longer.
Off to the garage next week to fit the clutch and do a few other bits, maybe get the intercooler pipes welded up
Looking good. This is progressing very fast.
Off to the garage I went yesterday morning to finally fit my new Black Diamond clutch
Up on the ramp getting ready for gearbox removal
Gearbox off
Old Clutch
Old and New Rear Crank Shaft Oil Seal
Unfortunately no pictures of the new clutch fitted, sorry
I did manage to get an air filter heat shield
Also managed to fix an issue with my windows and did an oil and filter change.
All in all a very productive day indeed
So, shortly after this post I had a bit of an engine problem which left her sitting outside my house for a week, then some blind bint reversed into the front of it pushing everything back by about 15mm
Been arguing with the insurance company for about a month now as to whether its a right off or repairable, but finally we have made an agreement and im just waiting to receive my monies now
All fixed and back to normal again
We decided it was time to change the rocker cover gaskets as oil was seeping through and I believe it was dripping down into the spark plugs and also dripping onto my new clutch
Also put a new Walbro fuel pump in as I wasn't happy with the second hand unit I put in the other week.
Only took a couple of photos unfortunately.
Because ducktail awesome!
love this car!i have never driven one but would love to!fair play for persevering with the rust!
Thanks It is currently of FOR SALE.
This is a great build. It's a shame you decided to sell. Is it still for sale?
