    Wheel Whores please

    Front: 17x10.5 +8
    Rear: 17x11.5 +5

Pull, flare, stretched tyres and some camber are a given.

Will have any ssues with hitting coilovers etc? (HSD's)

I'd be running wider wings and overfenders with those specs. Methinks manipulating the metal that wide will look ghetto.

Coilover wise you should be fine.

If you're speccing the dishes I see no reason to go so wide on the front. If you're having to dial in excessive camber to make them fit, imo they're too wide.

The beauty of speccing your own wheels is that you don't need to over-molest your bodywork to make them fit. A 10.5 on the front is going to feel horrid!

Knoop is the King of making wide wheels fit under stock-appearance metal; I'm willing to bet there's a lot more work in those front arches than meets the eye, and you'll be 8mm wider!

NG1NEER's setup looks fairly turd: http://www.rimtuck.com/photo/view/1232420618.jpg

NG1NEER is in reference to the rear fitment. I'd come down 0.5 on the rear lip and give myself a few extra mm to play with offset wise. Will look infinitely better. Same for the front.

im gonna try pull off 18x10ET-1 on the front I think I can pull it off JUST.

but 10.5 ET-23 Ive got overs for the rear 50mm ones.

Marc threw up a guy running 18x11.5 et6 on the rear in my project thread with no overs just a good flare and pull but looked fine not ghetto or flaredtofook look. You should be anywhere near the coilover either just make sure you go LOW not like that hideous one above Quail posted

Knoop has put hours upon hours of work into those arches, pretty sure they've been redone about 4 times now too. I spoke to him a few times about them as I always intended to revert back to metal front wings but obviously that never happend.

Hammer and dolly set and LOT's of time.

Personally though I'd make your life as easy as possible with it and go with the 10's

By posting this I'm not wanting people to start carrying on about stretched tyres kill small animals etc - in short get over it. I'm posting this for info.

I was pulled over the other week on the M25 (between junction 8/9) for the first time in years, in fact the first time ever in the sx (owned it for over 8 years). The reason he pulled me over was he wanted to check my rear tyres as he felt they looked too stretched! After a quick look he apologised and said they were fine but he also went on to explain he pulled over a car the week before with what he considered overly stretched tyres. After arguing with the owner he ended up phoning the tyre manufacturer and discussing with them what was the suitable parameters... the end result was 3 points per tyre and a fine. He also went on to tell me they're getting hotter on this sort of thing - hence why I'm posting.

    For info my specs are...

    - Front - 18 x 9 et15 - Falkan 452 - 225/40/18
    - Rear - 18 x 10.5 et 25 - Falken 452 - 255/35/18

Yikes, I'd say those sizes were fairly conservative! I'm slowly but surely moving away from any kind of stretch.

That was my thinking but as said, once he looked at the rears closely he said they were fine and apologised, even told me the car looked in excellent condition. Nice guy tbh.

I did think that at the time and mentioned that I'm sure different tyre manufacturers would have different parameters. He did say it took forever to get through to someone and then forever to get hold of the information...
