Team Falken UK signs engine supply deal with Mazworx

    For Immediate Release

Hemel Hempstead, Buckinghamshire (United Kingdom) 15 August 2012

Team Falken UK has agreed a sponsorship deal with Mazworx, maker of the world’s most powerful SR20 engines. The agreement is to initially supply a custom specification engine for Alan Green’s S13 and is open ended to allow fellow Team Falken drivers Paul Cheshire and Matt Carter access to similar world beating equipment should the need arise.

Mazworx, based in Florida, USA, will manufacture and build the engine, based on a S13 block, although that is where the similarity from the stock engine ends. The block will undergo the Mazworx step decking process. Similar to a resurface, step decking involves machining a unique stepped profile into the block that ensures complete head to block gasket sealing under the most extreme pressures and temperatures. CP are custom making pistons to a Mazworx specification which will be retained by Carrillo conrods and run inside Darton sleeves. Rounding out the bottom end is a Mazworx billet crank, ACL race bearings and a Greddy high capacity sump.

Utilising a VVL head and Supertech valvetrain, the top end will be fully ported and flowed and is designed to run reliably at an incredible 10,000RPM. The valves themselves are operated by Kelford racing cams and Tomei adjustable cam gearing.

Forced induction will be provided by a Garret GTX3076 billet compressor turbocharger hooked up to a Mazworx manifold. Boost control is managed by a Tial wastegate, feeding a screamer pipe and downpipe also manufactured by Mazworx.
