Street Triple is going - 2012 ZZR1400 is on order

Time to fulfill my need for the experience of a monster power bike.

The Street Triple is being traded in for one of these:

    558103_10150828691937168_197638929_n.jpg

Claimed 210bhp with the ram air effect, 190+bhp without.

186mph restricted although one has been clocked derestricted at around 206mph with the mirrors removed.

Officially the fastest accelerating production motorcycle in the world.

Im gonna be like followed by followed by followed by to whatever was trying to keep up

I know very little about bikes and can only imagine myself screaming my head off if I was on one at 186mph lol.

I've not done 180 but at 160 I was concentrating so hard on not missing my braking point due to tunnel vision that I was too busy to even whoop.

I hope it handles better than it looks like it does in the picture. Its not leant over that far and its decking out !

Ive only done 120mph or so on the Triple, thats plenty fast enough with no fairing to hide behind.

    Ive ordered a green one

    Jonny,

If I wanted a supersports Id have bought an S1000RR, Im more interested in a more comfortable ultra fast semi tourer. Effortless grunt, thats the winning ticket. If I get it decked over that far on the road then I expect to either:

    1: end up dead
2: end up without a license

Having said that I will be taking it on track

It has multi stage traction control and ABS and the power delivery is supposed to be ultra smooth and controllable.

Yep, thats the kicker, the fact that youve got soooooo much grunt sat there under your right wrist. Even if you dont use it its still there and you know its there

Just make sure you do something with the stupid exhausts on it Bren, they're frankly embarrassing

The factory option Akrapovic should sort that problem

Ah, so you mean bring it down to the Film and Photography Museum in Bradford? I was imagining a ride out to Manchester Not that it would have been a problem, its one of the reasons I wanted to replace the Street, the Street just doesnt do mways. I image the ZZR will lap them up.

I wasn't knocking your choice, Bren. Hyperbikes make good all-day tourers and are exciting to ride fast occasionally if more than a little licence threatening No more so than a superbike I guess.

I wouldn't want to track one though unless it was at Santa Pod.

A couple of guys turned up on 'busas at Lydden Hill one time. Fcuk me, that was funny. They both ended up in the gravel trap at Paddock Bend in the first session pebble-dashing their fairings and soiling their underwear. They just couldn't get them turned.
