For those who drive a lot

I know some people cover a lot of mileage as part of their jobs...so advice to this travel problem welcome.

On Tuesday morning 7:30am I start in Liverpool. I have to end in Manchester on Thursday evening.

I have to spend two hours on a site in each location in between, and can obviously spend two nights in hotels, so which order should I visit them in for quickest travel time over least mileage...

    Bristol
    Birmingham
    Basingstoke Central
    Basingstoke South
    Bermondsey (South London)
    Bradford
    Leeds
    Derby
    Nottingham
    Gateshead
    Cumbernauld (North of Glasgow)
    Salford

2 hours at each site is 24hrs. A quick look at my map suggests well over 800 miles, probably closer to 900/1000.
You're going to have to drive bloody quickly!

Realistically not possible, if it's a full 2 hours on site, with those start dates/times, and that distance.

That is a journey and a half.

I am no expert and I don't know what you are driving and how long you will be at each site, but regardless I can only see two options.

    Brum
    Bristol
    Basingstoke
    Bermondsey
    Derby
    Nottingham
    Bradford
    Leeds
    Gateshead
    Glasgow
    Salford

Or this option which I think is best
    Start
    Glasgow
    Gateshead
    Leeds
    Bradford
    Day 2
    Nottingham
    Derby
Bermondsey (ideally you will need to be in and out of London between 1 and 3pm)
    Basingstoke
    Day 3
    Bristol
    Birmingham
    Salford.

I went for your 1st option with my brief look, but reckon the 2nd is probably better

You have heard about a low key event going on in London called 'The Olympics'

You will probably spend most of one day trying to get in and out of there

Thanks for your help on this, I can probably get it down to 60 to 90 mins spent on each site if it goes well. Have to arrive, meet branch manager, explain what we are doing, decommission WAN link, remove rack mounted Cisco routers, backup device and modem. Load car, go to next one.

Car is a Hyundai i30 estate CRDi. They are suprisingly good to drive, if not very fast but really flow down the road well. They are as good as the Focus TDCi's they replaced which is a compliment as the Focus where the favourites out of our large selection of pool cars.

I have put some times in above...to see if the travel time is realistic. Mileage is about 1200.

    I'd go this way:

    Liverpool
    Cumbernauld
    Gateshead
    Bradford
    Leeds
    Nottingham
    Derby
    Bermondsey
    Basingstoke
    Bristol
    Birmingham
    Salford
    Manchester

This is probably the most efficient use of Motorways

    EDIT:

Just saw above that this route has already been suggested
