Just get the S14 ends, S14 and Tein threads are the same

Actually its not that simple, Tein rods are shorter than the S14 so you might not be able to get sensible toe settings

yeah, thought as much, I'll check the angle the rods are running at and see how much it affects the steering feel - may be best just selling the tein stuff as a complete setup.

Bren, just tried to order these but knowone in the office knows they exist. I've been sent rose jointed tie rod ends which are no good for me. Little bit annoyed as I've just fitted some taller ball joints and I desperately need these so I can get the car aligned.

Ive looked into it. I believe Jason processed the original order. You ordered rose jointed ends but decided they werent for you as theyre marked not for road use? Or did Jason process the order for the wrong thing? He isnt here today so I cant ask him.

James took the call this morning, he works in the warehouse, he moves boxes in and out, he doesnt have deep product knowledge. He did ask Ann for clarification but missed out the crucial 'forged' bit so Ann advised his re standard type replacements.

    My apologies.

    All sorted now I believe?

FYI Kev and I are the most product knowledge, ask for Kev if the person youre speaking to doesnt sound 100% on the ball

    Hey Bren,

Yup, all sorted now and all paid for.

Thinking about the original order I'm not really sure if it was my fault or Jasons, I was in a rush so I might have just said anti-bump track rod ends. Not really that fussed where the mix up came from as I just need the car sorted now lol.

Fitted the taller ball joints last night and the car now has about 5 or 6 degrees of toe in and was horrible to drive back from the garage as you can imagine.

Can I check the price of £120 was right as it does seem high but they are needed.

Cheers for getting back to me so quickly Bren .

We have sold all the alignment components at discounted prices on here for years. Even our displayed retail has been a discounted price. As part of Apexs shift into the wider market as a whole and to reflect our position of moving from a retailer to a distributor supplying trade we recently changed all alignment component prices to true retail in our system. This was done with the view that anyone on the SXOC would ask for the SXOC displayed price or if they order on our Apex website then again theyd get the discounted price.

In this instance this would be the relevent thread:

    http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.p...covers-removed

If the customer came from the wider market then they wont be given any discount so will pay the true retail as now recorded in our back office system.

We obviously need to put some more work into it.

Your price is as per the above link so Ill have the difference refunded

Thanks Ann, Had a text that the forged anti-bump steer track rod ends have arrived so will be getting them fitted tonight.

I've filled out the returns form for the Hardrace tie rod ends and will get them in the post today.

With the s14 and s15 steering racks being slightly different do these still work on an s15?

We have never differentiated between S14 and S15 racks and havent had an issue to date.

Bump for feedback on the longevity of these? Along with the roll centre correction ball joints?
