is it possible to fit a speed sensor to an S15 box

Just wondering if you put S15 gearbox internals into an S14 box..... and then install the S14 speed sensor, will it work?

Or are the actual S15 internals different?

Just found the answer.... which is NO!

Has anyone ever put an S15 box in?

If so, apart from the speed sensor, did you have any other probs?

I think the mount is different (no big deal).... but im a bit wary of the dual mass s15 design and fitting a normal fly and clutch.....

Any info on the fitment would be great. Thanks.

Yes it can be done but I cant see the expence justifying doing it. I have the Nismo S15 6 speed with the speed sensor cog fitted, the box has ratios set up for the track.

As S15 Boxes tend to be cheaper and newer, less milage, a 6th gear and well capable of handling stage 1 power.......... I was really just looking for someone who has done the conversion, and apart from the speed cog, could advise me of any other slight probs they encountered when fitting.

I have a full s15 gearbox setup for sale: box, prop, clutch/flywheel, all bolts and mounts etc everything to bolt up to an s14
