Nutcase
Andy is a nutcase, Got very obsessive in his weight lose on the bike as well
Proper lap though, Im in awe of it. Hopefully with the BTG article he gets the attention he deserves and gets a closed track session to see how quick he can actually go
If he needs to lose some weight, he needs to trim the hair off his nuts, must be a few kilos there alone. Some brilliant riding.
He crazy!
Shame that the dam bikers were not aware of their surroundings and got in his way.
Glad it's not just me they refuse to move over for, Have no sympathy for them at all.
What amazes me about that is how little he was able to use full throttle, that bike must be seriously powerful.

Its more light than powerful, Doesn't have any proper power mods bar the Arkro exhaust and that was just to save weight anyway LOL
On bike track days they often reccomend you fold your mirrors in. Its a lot safer and easier for faster riders to get past you if you stick to your lines and don't suddenly swerve across to the side of the track to let them past.
Bikes are lethal on track. Personally after being there twice and seeing two bikers killed id like to see alternate days or maybe half days for bikes and cars. Would save lives and let others have much more fun.
I've seen a guy at the ring on a bike who was seriously quick. Its scary even to watch ha. This guy is brave! Good skills.
I think a lot of that is because car drivers don't understand that the rules for overtaking on bike track days are different to the rules for car track days - as frisbee mentions. I don't fold my mirrors because my bike doesn't have mirrors. I NEVER look behind me.
Bike rules are - the overtakee has a duty to stick to their line and ride predictably. They have no obligation to leave the racing line nor to move over.
It is the overtakers responsibility to show themselves in reasonable time and to overtake in such a way as to not compromise the overtakee's line. i.e. no block passes and no stuffing it up the inside at the last minute.
I've had faster riders (mostly racers) come past me almost brushing my leathers and, to me, that's fine. Their skilled and they're not putting me in danger. It does make you jump a bit sometimes, mind
I watched the vid and didn't see anything bad with the other bikes. The camera bike was a bit unlucky to come across another bike as it was overtaking a pople-currier but the front bike was within his rights to overtake and I bet the camera bike rider didn't have a problem with waiting - thems the rules.
EDIT: Oops. I quoted the wrong post. Fixed now. Also, just to say, that was a very impressive lap. I'd no more ride a bike at the Nbr than I would at the IOM. Proper mental.

2011 ZX10R, 7:50 for a full lap (not bridge to gantry) filmed using a gyrocam . . . makes me want to shit my pants just watching it!
Met Andy briefly when we went to Sliders Guest House to see the injured Brendan.
Good on him, that lap is mental!
It won’t happen. Basically, because Suzuki hire the track for testing the Ring owners think they may lose this lucrative contract if the official fastest lap isn't set by one of their bikes. For a recent model launch they hired a superbike champion to set the record and in reality he was miles off Andy's time.
If Andy gets a proper paycheck to set the official time on a manufacturers bike then the Ring will happily let it happen.....on his own bike I have heard it is very unlikely. It almost happened when I was out for the Gran Turismo Event but they pulled the plug literally minutes before, saying it would be too dangerous BOLLOCKS!
I'm NOT the Chairman anymore, Ken was. He still likes poo though. Its not Jim either now. Ooh ooh, its now Doc!
