    Another NCT question

    Hi all

Does anyone know if you need the wing indicators for the NCT or will the front bumper ones be enough?
Got some lovely vented wings and dont want to go hacking

    Thanks

As long as the indicators can be seen from the side of the car I believe it's cool - worth checking the official book though: http://www.ncts.ie/NCT%20Manual%20Re...May%202012.pdf

jap ones have theirs in the sides of the front bumper. but the rule is front, back and sides.
so you may have to sort it if you get a picky tester.
he would have a leg to stand on if he fails you, if you dont have them where they are from factory.

^^ run the wires from the original indi's through the vents, and glue them on with double sided tape
if you wax the wings before you stick em on, your paint should be fine when you take them back off.
tuck them into the vents a bit, make it less obvious.

seeing as you'll be doing this every year; personally i would go to halfrauds and get myself 2x universal plugs
and 2x universal indis. so you can basically plug and play them for every nct in the future
    smart or what haha

I was thinking that but I want to do full assembly and not worry later on. Is fiberglass tough to drill without cracking?

Here's a crazy idea. What if I put orange led behind the vents in the wings and wired them to the indicator???????? Stealth indicators

It shouldn't crack really, just use the smallest bit you cam get away with, and stick some masking tape where you're going to drill, to stop it moving, same as with tile etc.

They're vented wings, yea? If it was me, I'd look at hiding the repeaters in the vents somehow, maybe behind some mesh. They only have to be visible when lit remember.

Ya vented ones all right. I'm thinking bout doing that. Don't want to mess them up by drilling

Have you got the indicators for the sides of the front bumper (a la JDM)? If so, put them in, try the test, if it fails then worry about drilling your new wings etc. Or better-yet, head into the centre, and ask one of the testers as they're walking away from testing one car whether (visually) whatever you've planned as a solution might be an issue - saves the hassle of retest times etc.

It's a uras front going on so the indicators are tucked in. I'll try it out and See.
