engine oil overfilling

just done an oil change on my s14 and overfilled the oil slightly... i've heard of people overfilling slightly before on purpose but just wanted to check.

and i could only get 3 litres out!

That's no major biggie, a couple of hundred mls max so not really worth worrying about. If it bothered you you could take the filter off and drain it and it would even out. Have you run the engine yet?

yea it's been driven for about 10 miles.

Should be fine... I personally wouldn't worry about it... But then again I'd be tipping it again in 3k lol

Mine was filled to the ripple on the right in your picture. Didn't notice any ill effects but i've changed it now and filled to the correct level
