    Intercooler pipe knocking :(

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with the hot side intercooler pipe that goes from the engine bay into the wing (apex style) not the hole near the filter but below where the afm sits!

I've been messing on and off with this to stop it knocking since the car has been back on the road, but it just remains! the intercooler pipe is almost as big as the hole on the car?! Does the hole need to be made bigger?

My cars an s14a with an apex FMIC that you have to cut the battery tray for, I've put thick padding around the pipe, tried adjusting the stock rubber piping but it still knocks

Any help and advice great fully taken

    Rob

Padding ought to be enough. If you're really having trouble, maybe your engine mounts are worn to bits and the whole thing's just moving about too much.

or just get an adjustable spanner close it around the lip of the metal and bend it down you'll make the hole every so slightly bigger and if enough care is taken nobody would ever know its been bent back
