    Encrypted USB Flash drives

Are Iron Key's still the daddies in this field?

Can anyone recommend any other devices?

Any USB device can be encrypted - check out http://www.truecrypt.org/

Does a top job and saves you a pretty penny too

Yes, iron keys are still the "daddy".

If you want a cheaper alternative look in to truecrypt (http://www.truecrypt.org/). You can encrypt the entire flash drive, however its a bit of a pain to use if truecrypt is not installed on the computer you're trying to use it on.
The easiest thing to do is create an "encrypted container" (which basically a folder) on the drive along with the truecrypt program so it can be run and opened on any computer. There is a wizard for all of this included, it takes less time to do than actually explain.

Of course you wont have stuff like intrusion detection (if the iron key senses it being dismantled it will destroy the memory chips on board) and http encryption, but if your just wanting to carry around some file and keep them safe truecrypt is just as good.

    *Edit* - Beaten

*2nd Edit* - If you do go the truecrypt route as long as you have a reasonably sized flash drive get this too - http://portableapps.com/

It all depends on whether you are carrying national secrets (which are generally unencrypted and left on trains) or general business stuff.

Truecrypt will happily stop people from accessing your stuff and as explained above it can be easily mounted on a partition of the USB drive to act in a similar way - minus the self destruct function

Already discounted truecrypt for a number of reasons. Cheers anyway.
