James told you then ? Thats not who told me though.
At end of the day, most have had filler and paint anyway. No matter how mint

If it's been on it's roof there would be pillar damage
I was told it was a gentle roll as you imagine going in a ditch, it was not a barrel roll or anything proper "needed a new roof" style crash that most imaginations jump to.
here are a few posts by the chap that owned it, from a local forum

hey lynnsy that's enough! Lol! Can't believe this is in England now. My wee sis was lucky to get out of it there was hardly a straight panel on it. Was a cracking car previous to the crash. I bought it off a man in ballyclaire in 2006 who got it as a trade in from Danny d the energy 106 dj who had it since nearly new, put the wheels on it & spoiler, exhaust etc & I sold it to my sister in 2008 to buy a mint 3dr cossie & she had it about a year or so before she crashed it. Her boyfriend and his brother started to fix it but she ran out of doe & sold the car to her boyfriends bro who then fixed the car & had a lot of bother sellin it. Lot a money lost on that car my sis gave me 9k for it & she took around 2800 for it.
I used to have pics on an old fone, il c if I can find them. If not I'm sure my sister had a few. Aye they took ages repairing it & done a fairly good job considering. He brought it in to work to show me a few months ago before it sold & they had got all the gaps fairly good. Headlights are mental money for them cars I was always scared of hittin the front of her a slap.
I didn't get to hoke for any pics yet. Dont think it's been reshelled as I said the work was done to a reasonable standard as she was gona drive the car herself. It was a white roof went on the car but was painted yellow inside etc.

Geez baboon why let fact get in the way of a Internet rumour?
You can see the cut/ weld lines half way up the pillers what's wrong with you man ?
its not a rumour, buy away fill your trunks, lol.
i give up.
I'd like someone to get to the bottom of this just because... I want to know the truth.
"You can't handle the truth!"
Yeah im very curious to know now too.
Only way to be sure about the damage is to see the pictures, he said she said wont cut it
That has not had a new roof FACT!!
the costs involved in replacing a roof to that standard are more than anyone would ever pay. And to not claim on insurance for a crash like that would be stupid.
i see that it says the new roof was white. but the paint thats on the inside pillars is factory finish yellow, you can even see where its so thin that the orignal grey primer is showing through,
the spotwelds are untouched and theres no way you can copy a factory spot weld thats hidden inside the pillar.
Theres something very dodgy about this whole thing!!
that is all.
I was just coming on to post this James, nice one.
i thought best that i sign up here and post it myself.
as ive heard about all these people saying that i am telling lies about it.
when i know the man who fixed the car,
i know the man who's sister rolled the car,
i know the man who sold the roof off the s15 to fix this car.
so there it is, picture of the damaged s15.

I am interested to see the replies from 1. Paul Brown Cars 2. iow200sx.
i just dont get why you didnt claim on your insurance for a crash like that???
i never called you a liar, its just soooo odd that you would want to pay to have that repaired...
i work for an insurance approved bodyshop and my boss wouldnt even think of taking on that job because of the costs involved unless it was an insurance job.
did it have a new rear quarter panel aswell?? New bonnet? most likely 2 new wings? and a front bumper?
it just doesnt add up.
Thats a new rear quarter, the damage looks like more than just a roof skin job and the front looks messed up. Based on the pics of the car posted with the trim stripped back I just can't see it being the same car.
Something don't ring true. So now you want a VIC.
