    J Performance. Anyone used them?

    Hi all,

Unsure wether this is the correct section but just had a query.

I recently purchased a 3" Downpipe from these guys for my S13. Transation was quick and item shipped out quickly too.

Here is where the problems started.

-Item they have sent is 2.6ish inch, not 3" as advertised.

I have emailed them twice on both avaiable addresses, in which they assure a reply within 24 hours. They do not provide a contact number anywhere.

So here i am 3 days later, no reply, no sign of any contact. I have a part which is wrong, due to being falsely advertised and now my car is stuck in the garage for another god knows how long until i can get my money back and source the correct item...

Has anyone else had any experiences with this 'company', and more importantly, does anyone have a contact number that i can reach one of their members of 'staff' on?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Joe

    Hi Mate,

Well seems im not alone then! Assuming you didn't try going back to them? I have sent them countless emails, still no reply.

This 'company' have a large product range and are not exactly cheap. I would steer clear of them at all costs. Just a heads up....

If anyone has any further info/experiences would be much appreciated. A phone number would be great, but that was probably unplugged at the same time as their computers. What a joke..

Going to report them to Trading Standards this afternoon.

    Cheers

    Joe

According to companies house there is no company registered with that name. Did you get an invoice ? If so, it should have a company number on it (7 digits IIRC)

EDIT: Also, their website has no address or phone numbers on their returns page, contact us page nor their "About Us". It says they started in 2005 but their not registered with companies house as a going concern. I wouldn't buy from them

    NitroPerformanceDept
    npdept@autobahn88.co.uk

This is the Merchant i sent my money to. Autobahn88?, is this another company? This is confusing me now!

There is also JPerformance Cars in Coventry but its not the same people.

Looking on other forums, your JPerformance have been scamming people (including overseas suppliers) since 2005

Apparently, they were trading at one time on ebay as jpsales-online.

    Daz,

I payed via paypal, however the name of the paypal merchant i sent my money to differs from the company name (see Above Post) AutoBahn88 rather than JPerformance.

Does paypal offer some sort of security policy that will entitle me to a refund from themselves?

    Thanks for your help.

Oh Crap . I was going to buy a similar item from Ebay, but thought better to go through a legit company.

What a bad move, completely unexpected. Apart from no Tel numbeer on the site, it looks pretty good.

Also, check out the postcode on google maps. Glen Road has 2 buildings in it and is about 30 yds long. Unit 40 must be the shelf number

As others have said, lodge a dispute through paypal.

Drew on Scoobynet hasn't been on since May 2011 so you are unlikely to get a reply about his dispute with them

they do alot of startlet parts, and i know theres a fair few traders who have trade accounts with them, i know they dont have any contact numbers, apart from an email address.
I know one or 2 people had similar fitment issues on the starlet forums, took their time to get back to customer, but it did get resolved.
