    13" wheel on MX5 Mk1?

I got a puncture today and my Mk1 doesn't appear to have a spare of any kind

I do however have a spare 13" Micra wheel - I know the PCD is the same and the centre bore will work, but will it go over my brakes? Anyone tried something similar?

Just until I can get it fixed.

    1.6 or 1.8?

1,6 has tiny piss-weak brakes that may just be suitable for a base spec micra, so you may get away with it.

1.8 annoyingly. It is on the rear that I have the puncture though.

I can't remember how big the rers are - IIRC they're reasonably sized aren't they? Tyre weld? Even if it wrecks the tyre it's practically the same cost to get as puncture fixed as to buy a new 195/55/15 isn't it?

Hmmm. Apparently the front discs on the Micra are 234mm ( ) and the rears on the Mazda are 250mm - place your bets now

    And it's 185/60/14 on my Mk1

Can you not just try it and see if it fits? A couple of days earlier and I'd have offered the loan of some almera wheels

I'm going to try it later, at my folks ATM.

155/70/13 Goodyear winter tyre on the rear FTW

Some 13s might, but I can now tell you that a 13" steel wheel from a K11 Micra definitely doesn't

    I've got 2 mk1 spares I think, somewhere...

Neither will fit mine due to my mk2.5 brakes - you are welcome to one of them if you want it Pete? (or two for comedy trolley wheel antics)

I could have, aside from the fact that I was nowhere near the car or the wheel at the time I posted
