That looks ace, I wanna go shoot zombies!
We had something similar in Leeds a few months ago, which I failed to get to.
Leeds one was different and involved lots of running around the city. SXOC peeps don't like running I know this now
I'm a little suspicious of wish.co.uk. Who are they ? Who is running the event ?
The event in the link appears to be in Reading, which is a long way from Newcastle.
Might be awesome, but might be some random chancer jumping on the Zombie event bandwagon. £££
Cool wanna go Trafford centre would be sweet
best thing ever i want to go
al
looks like alot of fun but a little pricey
It won't be wish.co.uk running it - AFAIK the site is owned/rented and run by First and Only who are mainly an airsoft skirmish site business. I don't know if they will be running it themselves, but I'm betting the airsoft guns come from them so there is a fair chance it is them. If it is, then there shouldn't be any problem with the organisation; my only gripe with them as a company is their pricing, I get the feeling you may come away feeling a little let down for £120. But then I haven't been or heard from anyone that has been, so I could be completely wrong
Would it be frowned upon if I took a chainsaw?
One of my mates went to the mall in Reading. We play airsoft quite a bit but he went there with his work mates.
I think his view was basically that it was a good experience day, but if you're after a day where you can "die" then look into the other days they run there.
Reading is sooo faaar awaaaay lol
Awww
in their FAQ
Am I allowed to bring my own weapons?
No, you will be provided with all the necessary zombie-fighting weapons on the day.
That would be some crack for a stag do
I'm game
It's not that bad of a price either if you imagine how many others they have to pay (extras for being zombies, police time etc)
Looks cool, only up the road from where I work
I think its up to you to get more info Lou
Sure.. I'm also thinking drinks in Reading after as it's in town, make a day / evening of it. For any non locals there is a hotel a stones throw away from the mall where this is held.
Shame its so much or I would be all over this.
Ian -this is the link Guy found. Apparantly it's these people that organise the events (looks like there are a few different types of days that they do there.. though the fighting zombies one looks the coolest )
http://www.firstandonlyevents.co.uk/
I'd imagine booking direct with them is probably the cheapest way of doing it -might be worth giving them a call to see what deals you can get for booking a whole group (I think each session is about 15 people).
Also worth noting that the mall it's held in is due for demolition -though no date has been set as yet, so get in there while you can if you want to go, as looks like it might only go on for a limited time... though knowing Reading Council that could be ages.. IIRC that mini mall has been empty for ages... I don't think it's been properly in use for years.
