Thankyou I used meguires professional range compound 86. Its rated at a 6/10 harshness as it is suited to softer paint on the jap cars.
Ive just bought this too to fit

    and just fitted these

    Update

Still waiting for db power to do my brake discs i just wanna be able to fit my wheels

    Anyway progress today

Quite pleased with how the skirts came out, still need to wet flat and machine polish them though.
Also the left hand one needs the rivets drilling and relocating because the skirt sits in slightly :/

Started fitting my 5 stud conversion
Unfortunatly the ball joints i had been supplied were wrong so i now have to wait until next week to finish the fronts off :/
However the r33 brakes are fitted . Had to make a new solid line as the female connector was rusted solid to the old flexible brake line

And i wanted to see what the wheels would look like on, must say i am happy with my wheel choice

Been a while for an update. Been building up parts for my ps conversion

    Anyway these came today

Tension rods, seat subframe and gaskets

This enabled me to finally fit this

Hopefully more updates over the next 2 weeks

Well after taking the car to dwyb at santa pod i killed my clutch, literally fully went when i pulled away from the lights onto the 127 from the m25 :/.
However it was a well needed trip as i learnt 2 things

    1. Car has too much lag there is very little in the way of low down power.

    2. My left foot likes the clutch pedal too much haha

Anyway i whipped the intercooler off and thats now gone as i swapped it for a brand new competition 6 paddle clutch and hydraulic handbrake

Will hopefully be making brackets to move my rad closer to the engine so i can run shorter pipework to my brand new garrett IC then hopefully no more lag issues

will update with pics over the weekend hopefully

What do you mean by "fully went" ? No drive, slipping under even modest boost or pedal went to floor and didn't come back ?

Pedal to the floor and it didnt return until i pulled it up. I managed to get some drive out of it but it has gone. It started slipping alot at pod, so i only went out a little. Im replacing the whole system and checking the pedal for cracks too just to be safe

It will be the lever arm pivot that has snapped.

You have to take the gearbox out to change it but they only cost around £6 from ebay.

Same happened to me when I was pulling off the M25 to A12. lol

I got Steve at CRC (just round the corner from me) to swap it for me as I didn't have anywhere sensible to take the gearbox off. He even provided the pivot for free. I can't remember exactly what he charged me for the labour but it was less than 2 hrs.

When it went, the lever arm went floppy and the slave cylinder popped out puking all the fluids so I rebuilt the master and slave and replaced the lines witha Hosesolutions braided line.

Details here...http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.p...il-F-s-old-car from about Post 5

I did wonder this but i have lost no fluid and i assumed from the smoke coming from the clutch at pod plus the smell that it was my plate. As i say im replacing it all anyway lol

I had a similar thing at pod and on mine it was the pressure plate had shattered, if you whip out your slave you can peek in with a torch.

Finally made a start this week on moving the rad forward and mounting my intercooler. Need to order more hoses but its a good start. Im currently making the brackets up for the ic then im gonna make the top rad brackets.

I rewelded these in as you can see firat attempt was rubbish. I hadnt set my welder right

This is roughly where the ic is going
