    Realistic aspirational cars

OK, so in a thread shamelessly ripped from another forum - what cars do you REALISTICALLY (I've got a feeling this may need to be repeated many times on this thread) aspire to owning in the not super distant future - we're talking taking your career, prospects, family, house etc into account. I doubt there are many who are on a Zonda spec salary, so be realistic.

Let's limit it to THREE cars, and see where this goes.

For me, I'm chalking up an S1 Elise, 911 of some variety (realistically, probably the ugly duckling 996 C2 as prices are so good on those ATM), and a first generation RS4 Avant.

Hopefully the last is most realistic, as it could be a daily, as opposed to the other - and I can't justify having 2 toy cars. But I'm sure hte day will come when I'll sell my FD.

Nope, seems harder to get hold of a decent one. (B4?) RS4 Avant's were the car that first made me love fast estates, as I was too young really to be affected by the RS2 age. I also think the RS4 is a much better looking car RS2 looks very dated to me.

Daz - that list is proper lame!

My next car after the S13 will be an R32 GTR as I've wanted once since I was a kid.

Then in about ten years I'd like to think that I could afford an R34 GTR.

That'd keep me pretty happy, although I will also have a daily that I don't hate at some point but I haven't decided yet.

    Merc E55K
    Evo IX

And I guess I'll have an Ampera or Volt so I could afford to drive the other 2 occasionally

Immaculate mk2 Escort RS2000. Original looks but with a decent Cosworth lump in it.
Immaculate split screen camper van. Samba windows and a modern engine.
For the 3rd I’d probably not change my current Mx5 if I’m honest.

R32 GTS-T or an S2000 as our next fun car.

But if we go down to one car it'd be a Mitsi VR4 legnum or Stagea or Subaru legacy B at the moment where we don't need to drive to work!

I'm very lucky to have ticked off the R32GTR recently... so that leaves me with:

    RX7 FD3
V8 Ford Mustang 'vert (new shape)(Don't ask, I just like them!)
    Nissan GTR

Bit of a disparity between the costs / types there I know, but all should be feasible at some stage hopefully.
