You either need to play more, or dust
Mostly play electric, need to a) get my acoustic set up or b) sack it off and buy a proper one!
Peavey Wolfgang Special which I sold on a few years ago...
Played awesomely. Couldn't help but try and shred like EVH though
This is my current leccy axe though:
Just had it properly set up by a local genius a couple of months ago. Re-profiled frets, action done, pickups tuned, the works. Plays insanely well now and sounds soooooo good
^^^^^That looks rather sexy
Latest purchase, something proper to play through......
Carlsbro Delta Bass 300 - 300w, 2 channel amp with 1x15",1x8" + horn cab
Totally impractical as it barely fits through the front door, it's a struggle to get it in the SX (may have to remove passenger seat next time) plus with living in a terraced house I can't really use it anywhere near it's full potential and the g/f is not overly impressed by the amount of room it's taken up in the dining room - think it may have to live down the workshop

Really crappy phone pic of the harem I took for a mate last week:
I have a problem with buying shiny things
I like this thread
Fender Stratocaster American Standard 2011 and a Line6 Spider Valve MKII 212.
A nice axe with a quite decent tube amp. Awesome sound!

Lusted after one of these for a few years, finally picked one up 2011.

Mmmm! Must have dug a large hole in your pockets...very nice indeed.
Nice way to blow two and a half grand there!
Been too long since I went over this thread...My word that Gretsch is sexual! ....mmmmmm
That Spider valver is uber nom too, I'm such a fan boi of Line 6 Makes me want to dig out my Spider and take it into the garden to wake up the neighbours....its too loud for the house
This has cheered me up no end. My Jackson Randy Rhodes has taken a bit of a beating in two months of gigging over the summer and the variax rig is broken again, going to have to get reamed for an OEM cable as the quality 20 quid TRS I bought to replace it after changing the knackered xps power pack is just not up to the job
Oh and on a side note....inspirational for a kitchen bench found in Dawsons in Huddersfield...

Back line bench FTW!
This is my latest one that i have started making. Pretty pleased with the spray job that i did. Just needs wet flatting and polishing
This is my modded strat, changing the body for a Mighty Mite ash body and the neck for a Mighty Mite Maple with ebony finger board soon though.
Nice work Jem
Anyone used this amp?
Yamaha THR10X
My valve amp (tubes) has "only" 40Watts but it is powerful enough to move a mountain.
Far to much power to play at home with low volume.
I would like to buy a mini amp and this came up as an option.
Buy a Matamp and build a small cab for it. All custom made, all fully awesome.
I need to get mine looked at as it's a little poorly atm. I got it as a present from my dad many years ago. It's only a 2W head from memory, but it's a proper full valve setup so you can crank the pre-amp tubes and get that lovely crunchiness or crank the whole lot and it sounds phenomenal.
Although I am considering butchering it to make me a new gig amp with a 4x12 cab and some seriously 70s valve tones. Gotta be done tbh.
Had a look at the Matamp Mini Pro. Awesome... But... A bit much at 450£.
This one is half price and judging from the review, not too bad sounding either
Thanks mate, so far it's cost all of £98. When i got it the neck had far too much relief, but now with the truss rod correctly adjusted and the rest setup properly it has a really nice tone and plays very well with a nice low and light action. With a decent body and neck should be fantastic
Does anyone have a cheapish old amp sitting in the shed or summin for sale?
