Funnily enough, just 5 minutes before clicking on this thread I was browsing the web trying to decide if I could afford one of these (I need some P90s in my life):
I play mostly acoustic (folk, bluegrass, blues, jazz, country), with occasional forays into electric (blues, punk and general weirdness). I really should get some pics of my assortment of instruments.
Love a guitar thread
I also play acoustic, folk and finger-picking blues mainly but I'm still very much a beginner so I try to play a bit of everything (or whatever my tutor sets for me) to get a better overall education...
I have a Yamaha APX900, same colour as the below:
Bought myself one of these two years ago. Always wanted one since my metalfilled youth

Unfortunatly i had an accident at work last year and haven't been able to play it since, not that i was any good but i enjoyed fooling around with it.
I play a Wi66 Washburn, its been "upgraded" a little, now sporting 10 gage strings, complete fret file, new pots, complete rewire, Slash Signature zebra pickups, and schaller strap locks.
Finished in honey burst, bloody lovely guitar
Love to just noodle around, bit of AC/DC, Slash, GNR, Kravits, Aerosmith, Blues

I wish I could play
I don't play but my ex boss now makes these http://www.gouldingguitars.com/
Bumping this thread, because at the weekend I bought this:
It is flippin' awesome, the best (and most expensive) electric guitar I have ever owned. It looks like the Gibson sister of yours, Dr. Bob.
Got some pics of my other main instruments too:
Yamaha LA-8, bought new in the late 90s. An amazing guitar and the only instrument I would never sell.
Novotny mandolin, Czech made hand carved, lovely.
1970 Martin D18S (crappy pic, but great guitar)
Also lying around the house are a no-name Japanese electric guitar from the 1980s, a Baby Taylor travel guitar, an Applause (Ovation) acoustic that I used to busk with, two Chinese violins, an electric keyboard and a cajon. My poor neighbours. Anyway, all that's missing now is an upright bass, a baritone electric, a cello and a mandola and that will be it, I will be done with buying musical instruments.
Might as well add mine to the mix, not too exciting I'm afraid!
Been playing for around 10 years now, although I don't play as much as I should. Mainly Electric, metal/rock but definitely not afraid of the acoustic too
First was a Squire Strat back when I was 14, then it wasnt long before I bought the following set up,
B.C. Rich Beast, platinum pro with floating Floyd Rose Locking Trem, and Line 6 spider 2 212 150w amp

Have an array of rubbish cheap electro acoustics, a 30year old+ acoustic, that are mine. In the house we also have Stag LP copy and Flying 'V' Copy bought for my brothers to learn on but no pictures.
Latest addition to my set is this, the Ibanez ART-120,

Nice to play on, very versatile for the price, would love to be able to spend more on them and build up an actual nice collection at some point!
Some gorgeous guitars in this thread, I'm particularly fond of Django's and Marcos' (you must never play that thing, it's spotless!)
I'm a drummer myself, but my Dad has an almighty collection of Gibsons, Fenders, and a few other obscure bits. I will learn someday, it's on my to do list!
There are some sweet guitars in this thread!
Lol, to be honest I rarely ever do, I have a couple of Squiers I play around with at home and at work. I always wanted one and my grandad left me some money in his will so it seemed like the right thing to do, I get to enjoy it for the rest of my life (then I've no doubt my son will). The neck is absolutely gorgeous, the fretboard is soooo smooth!
The RIP Jim thread reminded me I promised Bob pictures of my guitars posting on this thread some time ago...sorry for the crappy pics -will upload better ones ASAP...
My amp is the same as Steve109's Line 6 Spider 2 212 150w
So on with the axe pron...My 1996 Jackson Performer (PS3T) - This is the late Japanese model with the Floyd Rose Trem smitten:

My 2008 Line 6 Variax 300. 28 instruments in 1...Duelling banjos on 1 instrument never gets old
guitar (2).jpg
Not pictured I also have a 1992 Squier Strat, a 2000 Encore electro-acoustic and my first guitar, a 1989 BM Classico spanish acoustic. Started on that little baby at the tender age of 6 I played Spanish classical for 5 years but couldn't get my grades as you need a on your right paw to be proficient to grade standard on technique, fail I can still remember and play some stuff 20 odd years later though
My effects box is packing (these aren't my photos BTW ):
Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal (although it only gets used clean as a pre-amp for the electro-acoustic)
BOSS DS-1.jpg
Boss RC20XL Loop Station, I got this for Christmas...haven't played with it much though. Takes some extensive practise to stick it in sets for gigging.
BossRC-20XL02.jpg
Digitec RP50 multi-effects processor....This is on its last legs and reckon it will be replaced soon. But 4 years of gigging from a £30 ebay bargain isn't bad. Just can't wait for it to die really as an excuse to get more Line 6 goodness (Self-confessed Line 6 fan boi )
DTEC50.jpg
Should I post pics of my 3 Guitar Hero controllers too?
