I know exactly what your example meant, but comparing precision computerised machining to soldering wires isn't exactly like for like. (maybe if we were talking about computerised soldering of PCBs, but we aren't.)

I'm just cautious about giving someone who's obviously trying to get a feel for a market the impression that there's money to be made, have them make the investment and then find there's naff all in it or it requires so much faff (the variations, etc) it's not worth it.

even small changes like flipping it over to a front facing plenum need the AAC wires extending and if you were buying a loom, I'd want that accommodated.

there's 40 people confirmed on the RB swap register - if you assume that there's another 40 that aren't part of the SXOC, that's around 80 people in 4 years that have done them.

with your market being that limited, you'd have to be sure they've got the money to buy a decent product - but as you say, when you can get a loom adapted for £70-100, most people wouldn't bother.
    white '94 s13 200sx scrapped - mapped to 1.45bar. OS giken box, garrett GT2876R, 950cc injectors, ORC twin plate, nistune. 349bhp/325lbft @ 1.3bar CA18DET
white '96 s13 180sx - type g with more kouki bits - RB25DET, GTR steel twin turbo conversion, RB26 crank & rods. 2.6L VVT twin turbo, SR20 OSG box, OSG STR twin plate clutch, Z32 ECU w/ nistune.

current status: 180 a bit broken but to be repaired.

If you have one already then the only benefit to you would be the use of new materials. Our harnesses use brand new connectors, wiring, terminals, etc

Our harnesses are 100% plug and play.

There might be a handful of people interested in help wiring up a Chevy V8 perhaps ? I know a couple of people have done that swap.

(personally my power aims are modest so I'm happy to stick with the SR I have).
Wiring is not everyone's cup of tea.
We are moving to develop a plug and play LS harness this year.

haha we get this a lot too. Many people just don't have the time or patience to dive into wiring.

i think more people would do a conversion if there were plug and play kits
it would make it easyer for DIY and cheaper for people paying to have it done!

    Some people like to DIY.

As far as kits, guys like ourselves (wiring) and McKinney (mounts, pans, driveshafts, etc) offer most off the shelf parts needed to make the swap work.

M.D I think its the way you have put your point accross pal.

There is a market as its not that easy and a lot of people have it as more of a bodge. I know a few that have fualts after doing it DIY.

However you may have more luck approaching a trader like apex, SRB etc to retail your kit for you.

    Just a thought

Its like a dam playgroup on here at times

There would be a market for these looms BUT it would all depend on the price, no one is going to want to pay over the odds for it and everyone knows what the looms cost.

People will work out the real cost very easily.

Surely, if this anyOne else the thread would of been closed for BLANTANT unofficial trading?

It's pretty clear, that's the ONLY reason the 'wiring specialist' is here???

Read the first post mate, why pay to be a trader if no one wants their product? Market research he hasn't stated a price, hasnt tried to contact anyone about prices privately
