I reckon a weekend camping event in Newquay area with a bbq and a trip to the St Eval karts would be pretty fun, I've been there before and it was awesome. They have a 1200m track and are getting new, faster karts this year too

Yeah I thought Newquay might be a bit far to drive for an hour or 2 of karting, it is about 2 hours each way from me (I guess it is around the same for you Taunton lot) so camping makes sense

Camping trip sounds gd, as do the drive outs as i never had a running car for any of the nicer weather we had last year.
Not really very south west but what about maybe teaming up with some members from Dorset and driving up the coast roads towards bournemouth and then meet up at somewhere like the new forest.

When we invite the west country lot one of them can bring it down
Tried to get the Newquay camp/kart weekend idea going a couple of years ago, hopefully there will be more interest this time

There are 10 events on that list if we manage 75% of them we will have a awesome year. Shall we just get these confirmed, dates set and enjoy it?

The camping will have to be August time I imagine as the calender is pretty jammed during the summer. Anyone got any suitable locations, caravans or tents is also another question that needs to be asked

Cornwall has many places that get proper cheap after the summer holidays are over with big caravans...
That was my thinking. You can get 3 bedroom caravans for not massive money which would be ideal in or around newquay. Could have a few drinks in the evening also in the warmth etc

On a side not it looks like the drag and drift days are out as the organiser has canceled all the events this year

That is a shame but it is not the first time they have cancelled and started up again later.
Hopefully they should be back at some stage.
