    Bonnet wont open

The bonnet on my s15 wont open,
when i pull the handle inside the car noting happens so now a simple job of opening a bonnet has turned into a two man job
i have to hold the handle out and someone else has to lift the bonnet at the same time..

    Whats needed to fix this??

its the bonnet catch that's probably seized

will need a good clean and a grease and it should be fine.

I had this on my s14a, i had to wedge somthing in the bonnet release inside the car then shove down on the bonnet & it popped, I adjusted the rubber stoppers under the bonnet & cleaned the catch with WD40 heavily soaked whilst working it back & forth, open & shut, work the catch with a screwdriver shaft.
then I put a little copper grease on the spring too.
    Worked fine after that..

    May work - Good luck

Does it feel like the cable is connected? I.e is there any pressure on the pull handle? if not then the cable might have snapped or come off at the pull handle end? Check that, if inconclusive then you'll have to try and get a screwdriver into the catch area and prise it free. Difficult job mate.
