Picking up where 2011 left off, I am pleased to announce the first round of the 2012 photo competition. The format will be pretty much the same as last year, with the competition announced, approx three weeks to take pictures, then a poll of the results for a few days and then off we go to the next round .
There will be a total of 10 rounds over the year with an extra 11th round over the Xmas period to pick the Best Photo of the Year out of the 10 previous Winning entries
This Photo comp is open to all registeredusers Members and Guests
Rules:
1. No image will be greater than 800 pixels along its longest side.
2. Image overall will not exceed 150kb.
3. Image must have been taken within the competition period, which is from 2nd Jan to Sunday 22th Jan 2012 .
4. Only one entry per person, (please only send your entry once you are happy, you cannot change it at a later date)
5. Digital manipulation is permitted in order to correct technical issues such as dust or noise on the image. Subtle sharpening, levels and contrast adjustment are allowed, provided that the end result faithfully resembles the image that was in front of the camera during the exposure. It is not permitted to add or remove elements of the image or to apply digital 'effects'.
6. All photos have to comply with the general SXOC rules (no nudity etc)
7. Winner gets to choose the theme for the next round.
8. Entry has to be submitted before 10pm on the day of closure.
Points System:
1st = 10 points
2nd = 7 points
3rd = 5 points
4th = 3 points
5th = 2 points
6th = 1 point
