Got stopped this morning on wellsway hill by an unmarked 5 series.
saw it a mile off the ANPR camera sticks out like a sore thumb.
Imagine my shock when they get to my window and say I don’t have insurance on the car
Err yes I do officer.
Anyway - my number plate ends in djy - they had...... wait for it... djb.
I was about to go mental but the copper ( top chap btw) did it for me
Got breath tested too so been through the wringer this morning tbh.
All because Adrian flux failed

£800 a year just gets you part payout on an accident, £200 excess, window cover and an email.
if you had paid the extra £300 you get the advanced cover where they get your details correct and process your claim without you calling up every 2 days

In regards to checking your docs... who does... really.... how on earth didnt flux think ah yes, thats not a blue clio cup coming up but a beaver tail transit van or whatever.
Having owned imports and Q cars now I always check my docs - as you've discovered insurance companies can't get normal cars right, imagine the fun I've had over the last 4/5 years
I rage due to other issues I’ve had with flux in the past.
ike cancelling my insurance with no warning due to change in terms of cover at flux end meaning i had to pay out £90 change of policy charge and then a new deposit.
Its odd, people are split at work ( some saying im retarded didn’t you check them and some saying the insurance companies retarded and why didn’t they notice)
im raging too.... theres a bloody section for this!!!!

i'm on the fence, yes you should have checked, but they should have told you your make/model/engine size/colour etc of your car when your on the phone, all the other insurance companies do that i have phoned
i can see your point of not checking, i always give htem a coursery glance when they arrive just ot check the main facts, but i dont read it properly.
but they should have got it right.

On another note imported cars are fun... Ae111 trueno/levins can't be insured so 99% of people insure them as wee uk spec corollas
had this a year ago, went through all my details twice and got a quote for £210 full comp on a stage 1 s13. thought brilliant waited for my docs to come through and checked them reg was right but car details were for a ford fiesta 1.3 phoned them up and they told me that it had to be manually entered as the had issues on there system. re rant the reg and it came back up as an s13 but now the policy would cost £465 fully comp.
i told them to cancel the policy and went elseware
I may be Mr Unpopular for saying this but it's your fault for not checking the details were correct on your policy.
I've had this done before... old reg ended in SVP and they put SUP -the paperwork arrived one Saturday and I wanted to take everything in and get it taxed that day. Of course because the paperwork was wrong, I couldn't get the car taxed, so couldn't drive the car all weekend
