Bugger. Anyone want to buy a 9-5? Planning on selling mine after Xmas, just hope the news doesn't completely kill the market for them.

they did some good things in the past
    - First to fit seatbelts as standard
    - turbo cars
    - engine management to handle multi grade(octane) fuel
    - impact absorbing bumpers
    - side impact bars
    - Dual circuit brakes

You could rent out the boot as a flat - its bigger than some of the sh*t holes I've seen in London.

I think they had the only production car to ever have water injectino as standard also.

    Yer - in the past

Last 15 years or so they have been repackaged Vectras and have had zero investment into the brand.
Look what Ford did with Volvo and Jag, took 2 marques on the brink of death with their limited model ranges and turned them into decent brands with better models. GM didnt do this with Saab and so the company has paid the price You will not survive in the current climate with such a small portfolio unless they are niche models which Saabs werent. Even the like of Porsche have realised this

They did epic things in the past, but sadly from about 1995 onwards they were just bland

I have a 2002 9-5 Aero and it's a great car but not exciting or really outgoing

    Agreed

I paid £550 for my 2002 (Facelift) 9-5 Aero estate with 109k miles and FSH. Admittedly it had some damage but still a bargain
