Laptops have nowhere near the performance i want out of a computer so i dont use them as much as desktops.

I built the PC to play Crysis, then rebuilt to play Crysis 2. When I rebuild, I just replace the parts i need to, rather than having to buy everything, thus saving money.
Desktops at work, laptops at home as we dont really have a place you could put a desktop and anyway wakning at a desk is overrated.

And watching a move on a touchpad or ipad gives me arm and neck ache from holding the bloody thing.
my desk is massive too so i can put my feet up and lounge.
heres a pic i took earlier of how my computing experiance at home is like
I've never enjoyed using laptops.
I use my desktop for work everyday (I've now come to rely on 2x monitors), and iPad for casual browsing when relaxing in front TV or in bed.
Laptop only ever gets used at client meetings.
I have 2 Desktops, a gaming laptop and my works laptop, i always use my pc for playing games, web browsing or watching films etc, my laptop is if i go away out of the uk (screw taking a pc after last time, the nice airport decided it didn't look nice so completely trashed it), works laptop i only really use for work lol. Phone for mobile browsing if away from home or bored at work

I am too much of a PC gamer to even contemplate binning my Desktop.
Luckily I have enough space in my house that the PC is up in the loft conversion, and we have a laptop in the lounge that we use for general stuff.
one powerful PC for gaming, graphics and CAD, two large monitors, 5.1 surround sound, a comfy chair and sofa near by, I dont think I'm getting rid of my PC any time soon
lol @ Deacons pic!
I agree on using a PC at work.. and I'd have one at home still if I ever had to do proper work at home -but have no need to any more and I never play PC games.
Don't have a laptop because I don't need one. If ebuyer hadn't been cnuts I would have had a 2nd one in the £15 deal but it would have largely sat unused.
I have a desktop PC at work for the flexibility of testing stuff and a desktop PC at home for the performance so that I can play the games I want to play.
Breakfast, dinner and supper in front of the desktop PC... and, afternoon brew right this second
My PC is also my TV though. I have a netbook and a server too but the netbook only gets used if I'm watching TV which is hardly ever.
I thought the poll would come out massively in favour of the desktop, but that's because we're mostly a particular kind of person on here
In general loads of people have ditched desktops these days.

Still got one (well, it's a tower, not an old-ass desktop), but it gets used less than it used to thanks to mobiles browsers and wifi.
Much prefer using a desktop sitting in a proper chair at a proper desk using a proper keyboard, a proper mouse and looking at a proper screen
Saying that we don't have that luxury out here in Madrid as our flat is quite small so nowhere really to put a big desk and I hate those stupid PC desks that you can't even fit a normal sized mouse and keyboard onto.
Sooo, I use laptop and when I have to do any proper work I sit at the table and plug a mouse and keyboard in, also have HTPC plugged into the TV.
Laptop at work, 2 laptops and a desktop at home. Desktop hasn't been switched on for months, haven't even plugged it on since I moved house.
Desktops + laptop at work. My laptop doesn't get used that much at home, I usually tend to use the pc, plus no laptop currently out there that is as quick as my pc
I have three desktops, one for music production, a HTPC and a games machine.
I've got a laptop somewhere too, it doesn't get used much.
Desktop for work/games/rendering.
I guess I've got 3 at home that I use regularly but its for training exercises.
Gotta have a desktop for proper gaming, though.
