It's actually a genuine factory car, not a conversion. It might look like some spastic has written Electric on it, but those are probably factory decals as well

In 1995, Peugeot launched an electric powered version of the 106, called the 106 Electrique. This was offered in a number of European countries including France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom.

The electric powertrain was developed and built by French engineering company Heuliez. The car used Nickel-cadmium battery technology manufactured by Saft Groupe S.A., had a top speed of 56 mph (90 km/h) and had an official range of 100 km (62 mi).

Despite the high price of the vehicle, Peugeot anticipated demand for around 15,000 to 20,000 Peugeot 106 Électriques each year, with an expected total production run of 100,000 vehicles. In the end, only 6,400 Peugeot 106 Électriques were sold between 1995 and 2003, most purchased by the French Administration.
Rare as fu*k in RHD I bet

my take on the pug slug is it has to have been a car in it's day, being rare is one thing it also has to have been something useable/a bit special/sporty ish
that thing is useless in any modern day traffic if it's in perfect working order? the decription sort of skims over it don't work and hasn't is a long time,
it's just an unusual novelty toy for a Jay Leno type collector wanabee and best placed in a museum and left there forever as a reminder that early EV's are rubbish

Clio prices are on the rise for some unknown reason, some dealers are asking spastic money for the 172 and 182 models, the same cars regularly still change hands for a grand or so.

Rusty old Escort which was a disgrace to the GTi badge even when it was new.

To be fair it looks like they have replaced a load of parts underneath. Does that make it worth that much money though?
