Good job it wasn't a nice car to start with then.
Good job it wasn't a nice car to start with then.
that ain't a Lotus bodykit, any mong can see it's nothing like it,https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=lo...vuSnY4LuKLXzM:
and that is rotten as a pear, wheels are worth a few squid ,I had a go in one years back and was not that impressed at the old wobbly bus
I once got a passenger ride in one that was only about a week old and it seemed very posh to me.
OK so I was young(ish) and more impressionable but, when new, I think they were a premium car.
Almost all of them have ended up with monster miles on them and eaten by tin-worm. It was a torquey engine with lovely Recaro seats that I loved when I had them in my Opel Manta.
How much would you pay for the real thing with "only" 49K miles on it, been standing for years and just had a bit of a spruce up... ?

Or for a pristine, 4,500 miler...

Nah, they were a Vauxhall and that's never been a premium brand.
The old bill used to love em, big and burley cars to chase the criminals with. They ran out of idea's when they were up against a stolen Cossie though.
Obviously the Lotus Carlton was a totally different beast and the sort of special car you just don't get these days.
But they weren't a Vauxhall. They were made in Germany by Opel as Omega As and rebadged as Vauxhalls.
The GSi had a creamy 24v 3 litre engine and a high quality interior (compared to a regular Vauxhall/Ford/Citroen/Peugeot et al).
The impression they left me with was that it was a step-up from your average family car of the era, you just had to look past the badge.
I'm not saying they were a great car, just that, at the time, they seemed quite posh even compared to non-special edition BMW E30s.

Not so much a shed as just shit.
Looks a tiny bit like a Ferrari at the front.
Looks a tiny bit like a Ferrari at the rear.
Mid-section screams MX-5.
Paint job might suit a 1930s Yank pickup but not something purporting to be a sportscar.
"The FAIL is strong in this one" said Garth Nader (a kit version of evil personified based on Mr Bean)
agree 100% arry ,vintage piantwork? = it's as flat as concrete and needs a full respray,,,
he mentions the real thing is 50 gazzilion monopoly notes twice when its a mx5 wrapped in plastic, front end is nothing like the 250 gto (vents & grill)
the 1997 P plate is a dead giveaway it ain't as old as it's trying to be,well to me it was
mid section screams mx5 indeed like the whole door/glass and un fakerari like door handle
a cone filter and silicon hoses don't make a tuned engine, things still got the stock manifold on it
things horrid and the seller has a hard on for yank vans/stupid cop car
He probably should have researched what a proper Ferrari actually looks like first.

Even good ones are shit
'A magnificent example of the much-loved appreciated classic, the Ferrari F355 replica',,,note key word REPLICA how is it classic?
'This classic Ferrari gets all the attention where ever it goes. The shut lines are fantastic, and the build quality is great. This vehicle has got great pedigree, low miles, looks and sounds as close to the 355'
Annoys the $hit out of me how these buckets of cold cat sick are bigged up by the owners,,
,, pedigree? classic? just a Jap car covered in plastic, and then he claims the 4 banger sounds like the real deal? you sir are a moron if you believe that
Polished, rolled in glitter then stepped in.
