No. No way of making it better so Wardy made me a new manifold and then charged me for the privilege. It looks nice and hasn't cracked in the time I've been using it. Flanges warped a little but I don't think there's any way of truly preventing that, unless it's cheap material? It's the design that's flawed. I did ask for an exact replica of my old manifold as that one worked but was given this and assured it was better. Turns out it isn't.

I’ve been looking at Walton manifolds and they look to be of a similar design. Maybe they are ported better inside? Who’s Wardy? Remember the name but not sure of where from.

No idea if Walton manifolds are any good/better as I've never tested one, sorry. Wardy aka Andrew Ward of APW Engineering.

I've lost count of the amount of people I know running APW manifolds, and I also had one at one point, and I've not heard any issues. I think Blaktooth was very unlucky in all honesty

You call it unlucky, I call it unprofessional.

Was it just the wastegate position? Or did it crack?

Bad luck or poor design, you decide.

    Box time, almost
Boost creep resolved. New mani holds a steady 1 bar (WG spring) and 1.4 bar with the AVCR now set up correctly. Finally!

    Box time, almost
Super clean JK Z33 box with CD bellhousing. Skimmed and ready for fitment.

    Z33 Shifter
    Gktech shifter kit.

    Z33 Shifter
Fitted Gktech shifter kit. After watching the installation video it was a doddle to fit. Plate and shaft should be with me any day now. Cannot wait to slap this sturdy b'stard on.

    Manifold
    Moody side shot.

Hopefully not. Doing it properly with only the best parts and a mint, low mileage, HR box. Certainly hasn’t been a cheap conversion. Which is why it’s taken me soooo long. Looking forward to reliability and even better drivability. You still have the R32 Ryan?

Any reason for not going with the Mazworx bellhousing?

Yes. It’s unreasonably expensive, the shifter’s crap, the big gap left between the bellhousing’s is shit and they’re customer service sucks.

It’s the price more than anything. Doesn’t help the £ is worth F all right now. Landed it’s nearly a £2k kit. I’ve tried to contact them on several occasions as well and they haven’t replied to any of my messages, ever. I came very close to buying it but gave up in the end. I believe a decent plate will do as good a job. Will find out soon enough! I’ll try and keep this thread updated with the progress.
