I think I'm going to stick the road tyres on these and put slicks on the 527's The car's having some vinyl applied soon which I think will work best with the gloss 530's

Thanks. I'll try but with a 15 month baby to chase after and work going crazy I'm struggling.

Having said that, I managed to get the down pipe off last night as it needs some work. Here's some pics showing how I've plumped the EWG back into the system.

Yep, no way you'd get away with a screamer on any UK track bar Blyton weekender. The screamer was fun for 5 mins but I grew tired of it very quickly. Car sounds so much nicer now you can here the turbo spooling and the filter sucking.

I contemplated the re-route, you guys might remember the topic. I think I'm going to look at silencers before re-routing, be interesting to see how the set ups would compare but with different engines I guess it's moot.

I haven't dyno'd the car before and after but it certainly doesn't feel any slower.

I wondered how long it would take. They were just a temp measure. It's now wrapped with steel ties. 50' did the whole mani and the top half of the D'pipe.

Wardy's a top bloke. Have no doubt in my mind the mani will last. I chose wrap as it's cheaper, a lot cheaper. Local company did the re route. The weldings a bit sh!t but it does it's job well.

Manifold on but WG return is pulling the downpipe out of alignment and the rusty bolts won't budge. Need to angle grind the bolts off and all should fit OK. If the WG return won't go back on I think I might fit a silencer instead.

Good news is it's back together. Bad news is it's running a screamer until I get a silencer fitted. Waters in so just need to fire her up tomorrow and make sure there's no leaks or funny business.
