Try using genuine nissan gearbox oil and add some molyslip, it quietened down my 350z trans a lot, it used to sound like a race car too. (although now i have a hairdryer at the front that is super noisy so hides other whines-vortech supercharger.)

Running some fancy-pants Motul stuff but may give the Amsoil gear oil a bash next. Hearing good reports. Appreciate the advice though buddy.

Thanks and yes but struggling to dial the Rev counter in. Have adjusted the potentiometer once as it was low and now it’s too high.

    Rev counter adjustment

Good news. Finally got round to setting up the rev counter correctly. Took some pi$$ing about but it's now accurate, enough. Calibrated to my AVCR readout. It's a fiddly-ass job as the screw for the potentiometer is on the side and only accessible with the front off and speedo out. I found that setting the screw roughly to the mid point of its range of adjustment and placing the needle onto the spindle at idle as accurately as possible seemed to work. took a few goes but it's close enough now. Would take some driver to adjust on the fly so I pulled over each time to adjust and had my 10 year old co-pilot keep his eyes on the dials. It's so nice to have the speedo and rev counter back! All the mod cons

Time Attack Inspired and starting to be seen on some top end sports cars, something that's been floating around my head for a while. Obviously not the finished article as I now need to get my fibreglass on. Which I love as it's not stinky and messy at all. Sills and pockets etc are still OK-ish. Will clean up and apply some underbody seal while I have it on the stands. Actually pretty pleased with how well it's turned out already. Seems I'm a dab hand with a saw and some duct tape! Also got me some Professional Awesome splitter tunnels. Should work well with the cut away fenders. Give me all the downforces please!

It would if it were empty. And with the wing removed.

Work continues on the death machine. The front end receives more goodies! Some Professional Awesome Splitter Tunnels and SPL air deflectors. Hoping to increase the efficiency of the front splitter and also feed the brakes a little air. Research suggests this should work?

Did you notice the difference on track with the splitter? The brake cooling looks ideal to my untrained eye.

I haven't done any back to back testing with and without so it's hard to tell. The car feels balanced and stable as is but every little helps, right? Car's now off the road for the winter months but next year I'm looking to drive the shit out of it!
