As for the mount, the gearbox one is 6mm plate with a 4mm angle plate to keep strength Mounts onto the original dolomite holes too

The engine mounting plates are 6mm with 5mm right angles, probably ott but I like to over spec if I can

Also the engine mounting plates are getting supports added from underneath to help burden the load from the front of the subframe

makes total sense. it's not as though weight is an issue* as it's all inboard and fairly low down, and the cost of material is nothing compared to if you had to rip it all out and do it all again due to bending / broken brackets.
    DanSpec(tm) FTW!

    *oi! no!

I'm surprised how small the engine looks in the bay.

Get a little wire tucking on the engine loom. There would be so little in that bay. It would look immense. Im quite enjoying this project! Real Cool Bud, keep it up.

when you paint it do it as thinly as possible so you dont clog up the fins.

just re fitted a CA back into my s13 and i thought id hate it but after giving it a bit of a drive around, other than the turbo smoke its actually really good to drive and the power delivery is fairly good too.
it should be nice and pokey in that thing

    Slight update

Last night me and Paul_S13 made up a elbow (S14 stainless) with a bit of a downpipe.

Will finish that off tonight, just need a flexi joint of some sort

I then proceeded to make the engine mount mounting points a little stronger by welding in a A-Bar frame, this will ensure there is no movement in this mount and won't fatigue over time

Tonight we will be making the exhaust system, then it's a case of the following:-

Wiring, Fueling system, prop (got a piece on order), FMIC and Rad Also a little fab work with the back half of the gearbox tunnel and handbrake lever location

    Dan

    Update time

Well today me and Paul figured out the fuel system.

We have a high pressure Jag pump delivering the fuel to the CA runs at 215lph which will be more than sufficient.

We then had to work out a return as carburetor cars don't need them due to low pressure pumps, and you can't run a low pressure pump on an injection car

Anyhow we drilled a hole in the sender top, and bolted a return nipple into it

Then with some tedious wiring the result was this:-

So need to do some tidying up, FMIC piping, Rad pipes, a little welding on the gearbox tunnel and then prop
