    SR20 into a Kitcar

I have been looking for a while now and I have found one very local that I want to look at. It is a locost I think and from the pics its been put together really well.

The obvious choice would be to put a bike engine in it but as I hate bikes its not going to happen. What about an SR? Would it be too hard to get the power down? Or would it break the chassis etc? It would be 350hp.

it currently has a 1.8zetec in it.

what do you think? Silly or awesome?

Do it. Have you seen the lotus seven projects on here with sr's in them? One of them should be 1000bhp per tonne

I would go for a bike engine, crazy revs and a sequential box are great fun.

I doubt it will be over winter for me. I need to rebuild my spare engine first really. I don't want to break the 200 to steal the engine.

Jon, drop ch1ef a pm. He has one running a sr20 and is very local so 100% worth having a chat.

DB Power Dan also built one and as a result is very aware of the pitfalls and immense fun to be had.

    LOL!!

Have a word with Amy! She and Dan had the Westfield with an SR in it and it was apparently bonkers.

I too have these urges you are getting Jon! I keep thinking to myself it must be done, and I'm sure Amy would approve (if I had some spare cash).

The Westfield is indeed at Jez's. I saw it when I was up there a couple of weeks ago. I'll see if I can find the picture. Not sure who owns it now though.

I am even toying with the idea of starting from scratch now! I do have a small problem though, I don't own a garage

I will pm Dan about their one.
