Samsung galaxy tablet on android

Just picked up a samsung galaxy tablet, and the first app I downloaded was tapatalk lol

But I need a little help with a couple of things if anyone can...

• I can't get the voice recognition working
• I want to update the software to android 2.3 gingerbread

Why would you want to put Gingerbread on it when you can have Honeycomb?

Because as far as i'm aware gingerbread is the latest you can put on it. Its a gt-p1000 not the latest one.

Apparently the gingerbread upgrade is available from Samsung Kies (stock app you have?)

Honeycomb roms are available if you root the tablet and install one yourself.
