KimBolton fireworks are good. I always get a fair selection of theirs.

Most of my others I get from here: http://epicfireworks.com/

They seem cheaper than a lot of other shops I looked at. And fairly local for me which was a bonus.

EDIT - Youtube is your friend. Most of the manufacturers or suppliers have videos of individual fireworks on there. Try before you buy so to speak!

i'm having a party on Bonfire night, on a beach-y type thing near my house

we will be watching about 100 fireworks displays (about 5 of those will be proper organised ones) from across the solent.

having a BBQ, some beers etc and i want to set off a couple of my own, and people are welcome to bring their own too.

Setting off fireworks in your 10m garden that should have 25m safety zones is way more fun!

Single ignition fireworks are best value for money. Don't buy rockets unless you want to spend mega money. Cheap small rockets are crap, although occasionally you find some that are pretty good. For example Morrisons sold some small rockets for £6 a pack that put many bigger rockets to shame.

what is fun is to get those sky lanterns, (the ones that have wax and basically act like hot air balloons) let them fly up a bit then shoot them down, with either a bb gun or air rifle (obviously you have to be well away from any other houses etc). Its like pikey clay pidgeon shooting

you have to hold them for ages otherwise they just sort of sink, first time I lit a couple was on the balcony, didnt hold them for long enough and they just dropped onto the street below and sort of dragged on the ground, was pretty epic fail

Newsbox fireworks have some decent stuff, I've bought from them before.

The Fireworks international/aerial packs are probably the best for the money.

This is a good pack of large rockets...

I usually go to the local pikey container at the side of the road - cheaper than the normal shops, better than the shops
