Crysis2 is even less demanding on hardware than the first games.
That said there is a patch for it that humps up the tessellation to mental levels which you cant even see..
C2 doesnt hump the hardware like C1 (and warhead), its not a graphically "nice"
Compare these (C1 is modified but essentially the same game)

C1 looks so much better I remember the c2 screen shots and the jagged edges jumped out at me. Yeah a good test would be to see how your pc handles c1 hehe
Oddly, I bought Crysis from Steam for the £1.69 or whatever it was and well on Ultra it well, kinda looked like a game from 2007, a pretty game, but a game from 2007 nontheless. I guess it's a shader thing.
It runs pretty well on my PC, which was mainly bought for Photoshop. It's a:
i7 2600k
16gb or RAM
Vertex SSD
560 Ti
and a mighty, doesn't get maxed out even when the fan on the graphics card is going ten to the dozen and the cpu is running at 4.4 ghz 450watt power supply from my Core 2.
This being said, I'm not sure what the fuss about Crysis is, it appeared to be a bit dull and I regretted paying £1.69 for it. Not as much as I regretted Crysis 2, I'm not sure I've played a more dull FPS in a while.
Still, the Witcher 2 is great, looks lovely and plays really well.
On topic, it runs the BF3 beta well until you enter the subway, then it becomes a lagfest. Later in the Subway around A and B it's fine, it's just the entrance. Shame really. Still, I'm getting it on the Xbox.
Yeah, I'm using those. It's super responsive outside, just the entrance to the subway. Later when you're by the turnstiles it's fine as is the end of the level in the streets. It's an oddity really.
