Couple of reasons
Bonnet was worst part of the car, engine is showing signs of blue smoke, and kicks off when cold. I can't re sell it without spending money so just goign to piss about with it. Im yet to spend more than £500 including car so it's just a bit of fun

Who in there right mind would spend money having a 130k mile 3.2 and get it rebuilt with new valve stem seals, fix the weep in the front block, replace the exhaust system which is blowing, relay the interior carpet which is currently just strips from someones house carpet. It makes no sense to spend money keeping this car going when it wont be worth anything more afterwards.
It's a bit of fun. Like I said if the mileage was half what it was and the interior wasnt wrecked from 20 years of smoking and a black headlining then I'd leave it, I'm not stupid.
Ill own it until the engine expires, might give it fresh oil, and then weigh it in

It won't be any worse than Matt blacking an s body IMO. And that gets done all the time with less abuse. It'll look better than that gay blue I recon. And as you say. It's got a fooked engine anyway so only worth scrap value.
Kinda changed my mind a little after looking at the blue a little more. It really is horrid lol. I'd still prefer gloss black but then it'll only look good if done properly with a gun.
Tell you what though. It'll look a **** load better than some of this sticker bomb bull shit that I keep seeing.

Though I always had to deal with people trying to convine me that painting my car grey matt would ruin it.
Maybe they were right, but as hard as I try, it doesnt bother me.
